OPD services cover the speciality areas of treatment: Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Chest, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Neurosciences, Eye, ENT, Dentistry, Joint Replacement and Reconstructive surgery, Pre-anaesthetic and Pain clinic and Physiotherapy. For OPD patients there is an OT located in OPD complex.

Any person visiting a hospital or a healthcare center for treatment of certain illness is considered patient. Now if that person is not hospitalized for 24 hours or more than 24 hours, he will be termed as outpatient. On the other hand if person gets hospitalized for 24 hours or more than 24 hours, he will be termed as inpatient. Now OPD is a department in a hospital made specially for outpatients (patients who will not take more than 24 hours for their treatments ). This is the place where a hospital visitor (ill person) will get himself introduce to hospital staff.
